PROJECT:  KuPP
LOCATION: London
PRODUCTS USED: BPF21/4032/180 Henley FrescoHW690 Europlank Oak Nature Herringbone

This is Britain’s first KuPP, a new concept which wraps the best Scandinavian design and cuisine up in Britain’s all day café and coffee culture, making it attractive to both markets.

Award winning team Design LSM took this large, light space overlooking the Paddington Basin and turned it into a chameleon venue, zoned through the varying use of colour and materials to take guests on a visual journey depending upon their usage: coffee bar, restaurant, or lounge. The bar is clad in Henley Oak Fresco, a burnt, white oiled plank with tremendous visual interest, similar to Henley Oak Chasm, or to Volunta Oak Black Storm in negative. The oversized herringbone is Europlank Oak Nature, an unfinished character oak batten which was stained on site, but a similar effect could be achieved with pre-finished blocks, for example by mixing Venture Plank Blanco, Quadro and Nile.
