Composite decking boards are made from wood fibre, some form of plastic and a binding agent. The result is denser, harder and heavier than wood alone. And since it will not rot, splinter, warp or host the growth of algae, it is absolutely perfect for outdoor use. Composite planks look like wood and they can be worked like wood, but they will last longer and are virtually maintenance-free. So no more staining, sanding or painting. And since they are anti-slip, even in the wet, there are no health and safety issues either, making them ideally suited to commercial and public areas as well for use for private decks.
Composite decking boards from Havwoods
At Havwoods we are passionate about wood, but when it comes to decking we reserve our passion for the composite products we show here. We have scoured the world for those which both satisfy our standards and fulfil your needs so all are particularly strong and stable with a solid construction - very important - and are both fade- and stain-resistant. But equally importantly they come from highly ethical European and North American companies with superior ecological credentials.
Raised Deck System
Whether you need to raise your deck a little or a lot, we are able to offer a flexible and cost-effective system which may be used with all of our decking options. Comprising aluminium support joists - stable, lightweight, corrosion- and impact-resistant - and easy-to-use, twist and lock adjustable pedestals made entirely from recycled materials, the system provides a height range of 37-1016mm in 1mm increments and is gradient adjustable, offering top and/or bottom slope correction of up to 5% in 1% increments. Installing and maintaining your deck
All of our boards are easy to install. They can be machined with standard woodworking tools and comprehensive installation instructions are available on this website under 'information'. We also stock a complete range of accessories, including ribbed and bullnose step edges, fascia boards and stainless steel fixings.
Maintenance couldn't be simpler. Simply wash Tekker occasionally with clean water; any stubborn stains may be lightly sanded; whilst soap and water is sufficient to maintain the Xscape boards.
Finally, please note that we carry a small collection of composite cladding to complement our Trekker collection of decking boards.
