Ted Baker is one of Britain’s fashion success stories. In fact, it’s so much a part of our lives that it’s difficult to believe that the brand has been around for less than 30 years; and as well as being one of the fastest- growing lifestyle brands in the UK it is also making major inroads into the USA, the Middle and Far East.
Ted Baker is one of the few brands which has become an international name without ever running an advertising campaign, instead they are known for a quirky approach to marketing. The first stores offered to provide a laundry service for every shirt purchased, and since then give-aways have included Paxo stuffing at Christmas and a can of chocolate bunny hotpot for Easter, earning them the title of ‘no ordinary designer label’. And, as you’d expect, this approach filters right through to their store designs. The feature floor shown here uses three prime grade, oversized herringbone blocks, Fresco, Blanco and Fendi in the newly refurbished Ted Baker store in Kuwait and was specified after they fitted Blanco planks in their UK offices.
