Magna® – raising the bar on raised access flooring with over 100 timber options
Raised access flooring offers considerable practical benefits in commercial premises, and you can now enjoy all the spectacular design advantages of a Havwoods’ tongue and grove engineered wood floor in a superior magnetic raised access flooring system.
With over forty years experience in supplying quality wood flooring, at Havwoods we identified very specific requirements for any raised access system we put our name to. It had to work with tongue and grove boards to ensure that any danger of stepping, where the planks pop up, is eliminated. It had to incorporate a better method of blocking air flowing from under the floor than those currently utilised. And it also had to incorporate a method to ensure that the wood planks wouldn’t squeak. Magna is the result of our research.
Any Havwoods’ Venture Plank or V Collection planks maybe fitted with the Magna system, as well as a number from our Henley range. That’s around one hundred different planks, and most are available from stock. That means that you have options in smooth or textured planks in prime, select, character and rustic grades; oiled, UV oiled or lacquered finishes, and in numerous widths ranging from traditional-looking 125mm planks right up to 260mm contemporary giants.
Magna flooring reduces downtime for refurbishments, being 90% quicker to install than using glue or underlay, and can be sanded and maintained just like any other Havwoods’ floor. Individual planks or entire areas can be removed and replaced exceptionally easily, thanks to the magnetised system which carries a lifetime guarantee.
What’s more, Magna lead time on stock planks is just four weeks!
So if you’re looking for a beautiful wood floor on your raised access system, clearly Magna is the only place to look.
But don’t simply take our word for it…
We had previously utilised other similar products and experienced issues with expansion and warping, so we were apprehensive about using this on such a large and prestigious project. But the client wanted timber flooring on an existing raised access system, and this incorporated some very innovative design solutions to mitigate the issues that seem abundant in others.
The floor has been in place for around a year now, and we have returned every 3 months to carry out maintenance and servicing in the void. Each time the timber flooring has been easily lifted and reinstated without any issue. Furthermore, the quality has been maintained and we have experienced absolutely no issues with expansion, contraction or warping. The surface finish of the timber has stood up really well to use and it looks as good today as on the day it was installed.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Magna as an ideal solution for accessible timber flooring. In fact, we have already recommended it to several clients and hope to utilise it again soon.RW
