COMPANY STATEMENT – COVID-19
Havwoods International have taken necessary precautions to safeguard the wellbeing of its staff, clients and supply chains by implementing a series of measures that will enable the company to continue trading and support the relevant parties throughout this potential pandemic.
Staff are being made aware of their duty of care to each other as per World Health Organisation suggestions. This duty of care is extended to all our clients who we come into direct contact with.
Likewise Havwoods International are working closely with all supply chains to enable safe and consistent transfer of products to and from the mills around the globe.
Please consider the following:
Havwoods welcome all our clients and guests to this site. However please be aware if you have travelled to and from any of the affected areas in the last 14 days we would ask you resist the temptation of visiting us and re-book an appointment at a later date, or schedule a phone/video call instead.
In order to protect staff, clients and the business we encourage people to limit unnecessary travel and make even better use of virtual meeting facilities. We acknowledge the advice provided by the WHO and the UK Department of Health as follows:
Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people if you’ve travelled to the UK from the following places in the last 14 days, even if you do not have symptoms:
Wuhan City and Hubei Province (China), Iran, South Korea, any area with Italy under containment measures;
Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people if you’ve travelled to the UK from the following places in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath, even if your symptoms are mild:
Cambodia, China*, Hong Kong, Italy*, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Republic of Korea*, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
