Henley is at the forefront of hardwood flooring, both in terms of technology and aesthetics, and at Havwoods we are constantly researching new ideas and new trends for the Henley range. Every Henley product is at the cutting edge of design but, before it is included in the range, we assure ourselves that the processes involved in creating these spectacular finishes do not weaken the wood itself, and no-one is harder to please than we are; experience has taught us what will work and what to avoid.

The vast majority of the Henley range comprises of engineered oak flooring. We believe that engineered wooden flooring provides the flooring of the future. With their greater stability, engineered boards are particularly suited to the tough environments encountered in retail and hospitality venues and, since the depth of hardwood timber is as great as that available above the tongue in the majority of equivalently-sized solid wood boards, they are equally suited to sanding and resealing when required. Many of the boards carry an oiled finish: oiling brings out the colour and grain of the wood, and modern UV cured and Hardwax Oil finishes are as tough and water-resistant as most lacquers; oiled finishes also allow for spot treatment of damaged areas, unlike lacquers which require sanding and resealing of the entire area.
